Africa Project-
The country of Togo is located in the northwestern part of the continent of Africa, right on the Gulf of Guinea, in the Atlantic Ocean. The people of Togo speak mainly French, due to the fact that it was under French colonial rule until it’s independence in 1960. It is a small country, bordered on the west by Ghana, and on the east by Benin. To the north is the country of Burkino Faso. At it’s widest point, Togo is only about 100 miles across. Farming has traditionally been, and still is, one of the main occupations in this region of Africa. I was fortunate enough to meet a young man named Komi Kplola a while ago, and this has led “Jim’s Projects” down a whole new and exciting path. With the help of Kplola and his family, we now hope to bring many benefits and improvements to the people who live in and around the city of Lome, the capital city of Togo, where Kplola’s family lives. With the advise and assistance of Kplola’s family, themselves farmers for generations, we will be bringing water pumps for irrigation, high-quality fertilizers to increase crop yields, new farming equipment, and improved means for transporting the harvest to market. And that is just to get us started! With the continued help from the local community, we hope to come up with many NEW “Project” ideas in the future, and to help improve the lives of many.
"Jim's project" is a project elaborated by our representative in New York- USA.
