II- DETAILS ON THE DIFFERENT BUILDING SITES
1- JTM/01 BADJA: Fitting up of publics places and seats building
This building site is set up in order to clean up and fit up the public places in area and around working-class and crowed place. The activities on the building site will consist on cleaning the public places‚ building seats and sheds to inhabitants of this area which is situated at 40km from Lomé town.
2- JTM/02 KOVIE: Planting trees and health aids
Kovié is an underway village situated at 35km from Lomé the economic centre of TOGO. The building site will consist in planting trees on the main roads taking to the village‚ taking a census of the different cases of disease and offering health gifts to population of the area.
Yet this village doesn’t get access to drinkable water.
3- JTM/03 AGOU-KLONOU: School support and items supply
This building site is organised for student of AGOU-KLONOU‚ a locality situated at 105km from Lomé. It will consist in giving courses to students in the following objects: French‚ English mathematics and physics sciences to secondary school students. French and arithmetic’s for all the classes of primary students. During the school support two themes will be explained to the students to advice them:
The first theme about « Man and his Environment » .The second about «TSI/HIV-AIDS and the necessity of the detection test». More this mountainous and picturesque site will be bargain of a walk and discovery.
4- JTM/04 LOME: Sensibilisation and training on the household refuse management
The environmental situation of lomé deteriorates day by day. It needs a household refuse management policy here and there. We need also to make a door to door survey to debate with the authority and to lead media activities.
5- JTM/05 NOEPE: Sensibilisation on the TSI/HIV-AIDS and planting trees
This building site is intended to plant trees in the locality situated at 28km from Lomé and to make sensitive to the inhabitants on TSI/HIV-AIDS. The defect of these diseases‚ the necessity of detection test and the precautions to take after the detection test.
6- JTM/06 KEVE: School supports‚ school building‚ innovations and libraries
KEVE is an area which is situated at 150km from Lomé. In this 2009 summer‚ ABERC/Youth Togo World thinks not only to do there school support but also to make the innovation of school buildings and libraries.
7- JTM/07 ASSAHOUN: Building of public latrines
ASSAHOUN is situated at 55km from Lomé. This building site will consist in endowing the locality of public latrines in order to reduce the health insufficiency; we will need to dig septic tanks and to build the latrines during the building site.
8- JTM/08 AGOUGADJEPE: Information and training on computer sciences
This building site is intended to inform and to train the population on the new technologies of the information and the communication in general internet and the computer science mainly. During these three (3) weeks of building sites the population of AGOUGADJEPE and area which is at 100km from Lomé will be touched by the project.
9- JTM/09 KPALIME: Sculpture and plastic arts (Decoration‚ painting and printing
During the three (3) weeks of the building site we organize workshops in sculpture of object d’art‚ painting‚ decoration‚ printing on T-Shirt‚ batik and initiation session to drums and Djembé. This building site will be managed by professional in their yields and will be performed you. The building will occur in the touristic and magical town of KPALIME situated at 120km from Lomé.
10- JTM/10 LOME: End of the year feats colours
As we did it before‚ the end of year feast will be marked by our association. School visits‚ presents for best students‚ Europeans and Africans songs and dancing‚ excursions to KPALIME‚ visit to an orphanage.
III-NECESSARY INFORMATIONS
• The ABREC/Youth Togo Word agrees only volunteers of 18 years old.
• However the minor (whose age is under 18 years) must provide parental
permission.
• Some of our building site can be especially reserved to associations if its
manifest it selves in proper time-limit.
• The participation fees to one of over building site is fixed to 200 euros per volunteer. These fees included accommodation‚ restoration and the moving fees on the activities camps.
The participation fees will be paid on the spot at your arrival in our local.
IV- SUBSCRIPTION TO THE BUILDING SITE
Do you want to join ABERC/Youth Togo World for one of its building sites? You need only to:
The volunteers will learn also the African realities (braid‚ songs and traditional dancing on the sound of drums “Agbadja‚ bobobo‚ kamou‚ akpessè‚ etc”).
The volunteers will discuss on their likes about the setting of the liveliness every afternoon on the different building sites. The expatriates’ volunteers will also show their culture (song‚ dancing‚ etc) in order to favour the cultural mixing. In addition of the activities we lead in the building site‚ we organize at the end of every building site a playtime day on touristic and magical. It is generally a walk to discover‚ contemplate and appreciate the cultural artistic and touristic heritage of our country.
